God's word shapes

Our Beliefs

Why are beliefs important? Because they influence our behavior; toward God and toward one another.

God tells us in the Bible that we should "worship in spirit and truth." We seek to grow in our understanding of God so that we obey Him more faithfully and worship Him more humbly.

What we Believe

We have a detailed list of beliefs in our statement of faith below, but we'll try to explain ourselves more briefly here.

Our brief statement of faith

  • The Holy Scriptures are the verbally inspired Word of God.
  • The triune God exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit — co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory and having the same attributes and perfections.
  • The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross, and our justification is made sure by His resurrection from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
  • Salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

IFCA membership

We're a member of an organization called "IFCA International." We're still independently governed, but we voluntarily associate with other like-minded churches to accomplish shared ministry goals.
