We envision Jenison Bible Church as a dynamic Christ-centered church where God is known passionately and personally; where he is glorified by our love for, and obedience to, his word; and where his presence and power are expressed through vibrant, reverent worship.
We envision transformed lives through personal commitment to God’s word that impels us to live out its truths in our community.
We envision corporate and individual reliance on the dynamite power of fervent prayer for daily sustenance, spiritual growth, intimate fellowship with the Lord, and effective ministry.
We envision humble servant leaders in the church and in the home, who model and reproduce Godly qualities; and who are respected and encouraged in their calling.
We envision strategic discipleship opportunities for growing together into Christ-likeness resulting in empowered service, Christ-honoring families, and spiritually mature believers who defend their faith and relate to one another in Godly ways.
We envision being a beacon of light that impacts lives for Christ in a churched yet spiritually blinded community. With a hunger to share the hope of Christ, we engage in purposeful relationships, compassionately welcoming hurting people to join us in a journey to wholeness. We take personal responsibility to actively, urgently and confidently share the gospel through word and dynamic acts of service, relying on the Holy Spirit to convict hearts.
We envision an expanding global mission endeavor, reflecting our Lord's cross-cultural passion for souls and his Great Commission to us; we prioritize the training, sending and supporting of workers for the task, both locally and globally.
We envision an active and unified church body, equipped for service through the discovery and development of individual spiritual gifts. Recognizing the accountability of stewardship over our spiritual and material resources, and with a desire to serve the Lord, we give selflessly and sacrificially to others.
Our mission is to glorify God at Jenison Bible Church by making disciples through equipping believers for service, through building relationships for the purpose of evangelism, and through reaching the world for Christ as His ambassadors.
We believe the 66 books of the Bible are God-breathed and without error.
We believe in one God who is in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Father is the Author of creation and redemption.
We believe people were created in God’s image to glorify Him, but through Adam’s sin inherited a sinful nature. All became separated from God resulting in a need for salvation, which is a gift of God, by grace through faith in Christ.
Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who became man without ceasing to be God, to purchase our salvation through His death on the cross. He is now in heaven with the Father serving as our Representative, and will one day return in bodily form to the earth.
The Holy Spirit draws people to Jesus for salvation, and empowers and equips the church.
We believe the church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ indwelt by the Holy Spirit, whose mission is to make disciples of Jesus from all people groups.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind, the saved to everlasting life, and the unsaved to everlasting punishment.
We believe prayer is our vital link to God for the purpose of intercession and Spirit empowerment.
