This morning service has the same message as our late service, but features traditional worship. We use instruments like a piano and organ, combined with hymns and worship songs.
We get it. Visiting a new church can be intimidating. Here's a quick guide to help answer some of your questions.
We start by singing a few songs together, followed by a message from the Bible. Each service typically lasts 60-70 minutes. You won't encounter any strange chanting or rituals here, but you can certainly raise your hands during worship. Our desire is that you connect with God through prayer, worship and an open Bible.
We're a non-denominational church that takes a simple approach to interpreting the Bible. Among other things, we believe that salvation is the gift of God, brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Visit our beliefs page for more detailed information.
Maybe 10-15 minutes before the service starts. Be sure to stop by our welcome center for a bulletin before finding a good seat. If you have young children, arrive a little earlier to check-in at our nursery.
Naturally, we have members that come from a variety of denominational backgrounds. Don't worry about not fitting in simply because you might not share the same church experiences as someone else. We'd love for you to come and worship God with us!
Absolutely! Children are welcome in all our services!
In our late service, a fully-staffed nursery is available for newborns through 3 years, and kids age 4 through 3rd grade are dismissed from the service after the singing time to attend Children's Church.
No problem. We all have questions we're seeking the answers to. Bring your doubts, make interesting conversation and learn something along the way. You don't have to leave your skepticism at home.
We have something for everyone. Our Early Service and Evening Service both use traditional instruments like a piano and organ while singing hymns. Our Late Service uses more modern instruments like guitars and drums with contemporary worship songs.
Nope. If you're our guest, please don't feel any obligation to give. We are glad you are here!
We view giving as an important part of our worship though. So when you're ready to start giving, see our giving page for all the options.
You'll see everything from dresses and suits to jeans and flip-flops on a typical Sunday. Whatever you're comfortable worshiping God in, wear that.
We practice communion once a month. If you happen to visit during one of those Sundays, feel free to participate with us as long as you're a believer; no church membership required. We don't use real wine either, just really good grape juice!
Life Groups are a great way to connect with our church family outside of our Sunday services. We have groups for all ages that meet at various times throughout the week. Wednesday nights we also have a Bible study and prayer meeting.
Check out our Life Groups page for more information.
We consider ourselves a medium-sized church. We're large enough where there's plenty of ways to get involved, yet small enough where you can still get to know people without feeling lost in the crowd.
Absolutely! Our Wednesday night sessions, mission trips and other activities are open to all students, even if you can't join us on Sundays.
Our building is right next to 44th Street and is within a 15 minute drive for most families in Jenison, Hudsonville and Grandville. Visit our contact page for more detailed information.
We have activities throughout the week, but we gather as a whole community to worship on Sundays. Attending one of our services is a great way to check us out.
